Dept of Health Update

The Louisiana Department of Health reported 1,511 COVID19 cases reported to the state yesterday. 690 of the newly reported cases are attributed to a backlog with collection dates between August 6, 2020 and September 4, 2020. 95% of the cases reported to the state were community spread. People aged 29 and under represent 39% of these cases. 30% are individuals between 18-29. There were 15 deaths reported to the state bringing the current total death count to 4,970.
