U.S. Attorney Peter G. Strasser announced that 22 YO Richard Jones and 20 YO Kahliq Williams, residents of New Orleans, are charged in a six-count indictment. The pair face charges for their alleged participation in the carjacking of a man on Eastern Street in New Orleans, on April 16, 2020, and the burglary of C&S Gun Parlor in Covington, on April 17, 2020. The men face a host of other charges. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, the New Orleans Police Department, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
