The St Tammany Chamber conducted a survey of their member in late August to provide insight into COVID-19’s impact on member businesses and related concerns. Here are a few things from the results. When asked to what level their business has been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, 80 percent indicated highly or somewhat. Members expressed their concern over COVID-19’s impact on government services with 37 percent greatly concerned. When asked for the biggest concern about the short-term impact of the pandemic and economic shutdown, the top two were economic recession and business closings. When asked for the biggest impact of the pandemic on you, your family, and/or your business, the top two concerns were loss of business and loss of revenue.
