Slidell Police Respond to High Water

Downpours left water on the roads in Slidell yesterday, forcing the Slidell Police Department to ask residents to stay off the roads Thursday afternoon after storms caused power outages and flooding in the area. Slidell Police said they were responding to multiple reports of downed power lines and trees, high water, stalled vehicles, vehicles in ditches, and traffic light outages due to power related issues.
