Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy tested positive for COVID-19. A statement released yesterday by Sen. Cassidy’s office says that after being notified that he’d been exposed to an individual with coronavirus, Senator Cassidy was tested for COVID-19 and that test was positive. Cassidy contacted his physician and is strictly adhering to all CDC recommendations, including quarantining for 14 days and notifying those with whom he may have come into contact. Cassidy said he is strictly following the direction of medical experts and strongly encourages others to do the same.
