Agents cited 34 YO Jennifer Myers for releasing a monitor lizard out of a window of her residence in Denham Springs. Agents were alerted about a social media post on Aug. 11 that alleged Myers had illegally released a monitor lizard. Agents started an investigation and were able to contact Myers this afternoon at her residence where she admitted to releasing the lizard. Illegally releasing a monitor lizard brings a $400 to $950 fine and up to 120 days in jail. If anyone comes into contact with the monitor lizard, please contact LDWF at 1-800-442-2511.
