A Slidell man was arrested following a brief pursuit Tuesday afternoon after a St. Tammany Sheriff’s deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Toyota Camry, which was being driven by Treyvon Warren (DOB 6/12/1998) in the area of Amos Road near Slidell. Warren failed to stop and instead sped down Amos Road, turning onto Highway 11. While driving at a high rate of speed, Warren lost control of the vehicle and the Camry flipped, coming to rest upside down. Warren fled the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot but was quickly captured by deputies and taken into custody. He was transported to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
He will be charged with Texting While Driving, Driving Under Suspension, Aggravated Flight from Officer and more.
