Yesterday Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards announced that phase two of coronavirus pandemic restrictions will continues for at least three more weeks, through August 28. Edwards will sign the new order today and it will go into effect Friday. But by mid-June, case numbers began rising and more patients had to go to the hospital to deal with COVID-19. Edwards said the current mitigation measures are working and in the last week the numbers have improved.
