The Louisiana Department of Health reported fewer than 1,100 new coronavirus cases across the state. That number has been closer to 2,000 per day recently. The number of people in the hospital with virus fell by 38, to a total of 1,496, with more ICU availability in Baton Rouge. 230 are currently on vents. COVID-19 deaths did increase by 17 yesterday, bringing the total to 3,910. Governor Edwards will brief the media at 2:30 today.
