The Louisiana Department of Health reported 1,735 new cases yesterday. 69 new reported deaths brings that total to 3,769. This is the highest reported death total for a single day since April 21st. 1,544 are currently hospitalized, with 221 on vents. Some good news from the numbers, there are fewer cases and hospitalizations around the state are down compared with one week ago. Governor Edwards will brief the media today at 2:30. Louisiana’s statewide 211 network is now answering calls about COVID-19 from Louisiana residents who have questions.
