The Highway 11 Bridge project in Slidell is a $28.3 million construction overhaul started back in August of 2018, and was supposed to reopen to traffic last month. St. Tammany Parish president Mike Cooper says due to COVID-19 and other unforeseen circumstances the project is now foreseen to be completed in the fall of 2020. The bridge is closed for repairs to the road deck, guardrails, and mechanical work to the drawbridge.
