CLECO will be working this weekend around the 4-story addition at St Tammany Health System and it might have some impacts locally. Friday night at 10 p.m. CLECO will close 8th Ave. and the easternmost driveway at STHS to set up trucks, a crane, transformers, equipment, bucket trucks and other necessary materials. This closure is required to pull new wires from the power poles adjacent to 8th Ave. to the transformer. Estimated completion is noon Saturday. At no time will patient care be interrupted, as they have they have independent power generation capabilities for any time normal power is disrupted. The health system and CLECO arranged the timing of this project to impact the lightest traffic patterns on 8th Ave.
