The Northshore Collaborative has launched a Gratitude Campaign designed to thank the community’s unsung heroes. The business networking organization kicked off the event by providing Subway Gratitude Lunch Box Gift Cards to the entire 65-person fleet of Coastal Environmental Services. The gift was funded with contributions from the community and a generous donation from Slidell Seamstresses, who dedicated 100% of the proceeds from the masks they sold through Northshore Ace Hardware toward the ongoing efforts.
The public is invited to become part of the campaign, providing Gratitude Lunch Box Gift Cards to those they wish to acknowledge for a job well done. Suggested recipients include postal workers and delivery drivers, grocery store clerks, co-workers and childcare workers. Random acts of kindness also are encouraged, to bring a bit of cheer during these continuing challenging times. The Northshore Collaborative’s Gratitude Gift Campaign is presented in partnership with Subway’s local franchisees. Participating locations include 167 Northshore Blvd., 111 Northshore Blvd. and 199 Gause Blvd. W Suite 4.
The campaign is a follow up to The Northshore Colalborative’s “Feed the Frontline workers” campaign, which provided more than $3,000 in lunches to hospital front line workers and support staff, law enforcement agencies, first responders, caregivers and essential workers, also funded with generous donations from the community and Slidell Seamstresses. In all, the efforts have supported 11 locally owned restaurants.
