The latest numbers from the Louisiana Department of Health showed 35,316 positive results. 2,485 people in the state have died from the virus. For the first time in a while we are under 1,000 with 931 COVID patients in hospitals and 110 of those patients require ventilators. 26,249 people have presumed to have recovered, as of May 16th. On the Northshore St Tammany has 1,572 cases and 151 deaths. Tangipahoa is listing 752 cases and 30 deaths from the virus. Livingston has 358 cases and 26 deaths. In Washington there are 376 reported cases and 36 deaths. The CDC believes at this time that symptoms of COVID-19 may appear in as few as 2 days or as long as 14 after exposure.
