The latest numbers from the Louisiana Department of Health showed 35,038 positive results. 2,458 people in the state have died from the virus. 1,004 COVID patients are in hospitals and 112 of those patients require ventilators. 26,249 people have presumed to have recovered, as of May 16th. On the Northshore St Tammany has 1,559 cases and 149 deaths. Tangipahoa is listing 742 cases and 30 deaths from the virus. Livingston has 356 cases and 26 deaths. In Washington there are 375 reported cases and 34 deaths. The CDC believes at this time that symptoms of COVID-19 may appear in as few as 2 days or as long as 14 after exposure.
