The latest numbers from the Louisiana Department of Health showed 34,709 positive results. 2,440 people in the state have died from the virus. 1,031 COVID patients are in hospitals and 118 of those patients require ventilators. 22,608 people have presumed to have recovered, as of May 10th. On the Northshore St Tammany has 1,544 cases and 147 deaths. Tangipahoa is listing 732 cases and 30 deaths from the virus. Livingston has 350 cases and 25 deaths. In Washington there are 370 reported cases and 32 deaths. The CDC believes at this time that symptoms of COVID-19 may appear in as few as 2 days or as long as 14 after exposure.
